Jean- Louis Deshayes is a senior director of product management at BlackRock, specializing in Private Markets technology and platform strategy. He leads the development and integration of key solutions, including eFront Invest and eFront Insight, supporting global investment teams and institutional clients.
With over 15 years of experience in alternative investments, Jean-Louis has built deep expertise across private markets workflows, from deal management to portfolio monitoring, accounting and reporting. He focuses on delivering scalable, data-driven platforms that enhance transparency, streamline operations, and improve decision-making across the investment lifecycle. He is a key contributor to BlackRock’s data distribution and API strategy for fund administrators and clients, and plays a central role in large-scale transformation initiatives, including platform integrations and migrations.
Jean-Louis began his career in the French Air Force, where he worked in satellite telecommunications and network operations—an experience that shaped his strong foundation in systems, discipline, and complex operational environments. He later spent several years at eFront in Paris, Luxembourg, and San Francisco, where he held various roles up to Consulting Manager. In these roles, he led major software implementation programs for fund administrators and institutional investors, overseeing the full project lifecycle from requirements definition through to delivery, and managing international teams across complex client engagements.
Jean-Louis is particularly passionate about leveraging automation and artificial intelligence to reduce operational complexity and unlock value from data. He regularly collaborates with global stakeholders across product, engineering, and client teams to drive innovation in alternative investments.
Based in Paris, he plays an active role in advancing AI adoption within BlackRock and contributes to industry discussions on the future of private markets technology. Jean-Louis holds a Master’s degree from SKEMA Business School.
